Summer is coming, and one of my favorite things to make are various teas. I had a dinner party with a friend last Friday and wanted to bring something spicy and refreshing to her house.
2 Myer Lemons
2 Bags Ginger Tea
2 Tsp Ginger Root
1 Can Peaches
5 Cups Boiling Water
2tbs Agave Syrup
You may notice one of my Myer lemons is zested. I used the zest in my delicious recipe for Mini Pies. Check it out!
Place the teabags and ginger root in a pitcher or container in which you want to make the tea. Pour the hot water in the container and let steep for 10 minutes.
Cut the citrus fruits into halves and juice them. Make sure to strain the pulp from the juice.
Once the tea is steeped, remove the bags. Add the citrus juice. Next, pour in the can of peaches in juice.
Add the Agave Syrup.
Stir everything together and chill the beverage. You can drink as is, add some soda water for some fizz, or include a shot of vodka or whiskey to the mix. Seeing as it was a friday night and a girl’s night full of food and dinner,we opted to add a little vodka to each glass. Enjoy!
